Michael Raymond Jewelry basically started out of convenience. My father was a jeweler and taught me the trade when I was a kid. Some of my earliest memories were on the bench working on pieces with my old man. As I got older I came up with ideas for different necklaces, rings and bracelets that I wanted to wear. It never occurred to me to buy them from someone else, so I just made them myself. For years I have worn some of the pieces I first designed. Turns out those pieces have become the favorites of lots of my family and friends. They wanted me to make them the same, and I didn't want to. Well, I have finally caved and decided to put out the Michael Raymond Personal Collection. Created by me for me - now for you... if that makes sense.
